Well-defined amine-reactive polymethacrylates through organocatalyzed controlled radical polymerization
نویسندگان
چکیده
A novel alkyl iodide bearing an azlactone group was successfully employed as a reversible complex-mediated polymerization (RCMP) initiator for synthesizing the first-time well-defined α-azlactone-terminated polymethacrylates ( Đ < 1.30). The amine-scavenging ability of resulting functional polymers demonstrated by using benzylamine.

Rapid Synthesis of Well-Defined Polyacrylamide by Aqueous Cu(0)- Mediated Reversible-Deactivation Radical Polymerization
Atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of acrylamide (AM) has proved challenging, typically exhibiting low conversions and broad molecular weight distributions (MWDs). Herein, we report the synthesis of well-defined polyacrylamide (both homo and block copolymers) via aqueous copper(0)mediated reversible-deactivation radical polymerization (Cu(0)RDRP), exploiting the in situ disproportionat...

Exfoliated poly (Chloromethyl styrene-co-styrene)-g-polyacrylonitryle/organo- modified montmorillonite [P(CMSt-co-St)-g-PAN/O-MMT] nanocomposite was synthesized through solution intercalation method by using atom transfer and nitroxide mediated radical polymerization. At first, poly (chloromethyl styrene-costyrene) copolymer was synthesized by nitroxide - mediated “living” free radical polyme...
متن کاملControlled radical polymerisation of methyl acrylate initiated by a well-defined cobalt alkyl complex.
Cobalt-mediated radical polymerisation of methyl acrylate is effected at moderate temperature by both a square planar bis(beta-ketoaminato)cobalt(II) complex in the presence of V-70 diazo radical initiator, and by a well-defined cobalt(III) alkyl derivative in the absence of a diazo complex. Polymerisation rates suggest that both reversible termination and degenerative transfer mechanisms are o...

متن کاملModification of polysaccharides through controlled/living radical polymerization grafting-towards the generation of high performance hybrids.
This review covers the literature concerning the modification of polysaccharides through controlled radical polymerizations (NMP, ATRP and RAFT). The different routes to well-defined polysaccharide-based macromolecules (block and graft copolymers) and graft-functionalized polysaccharide surfaces as well as the applications of these polysaccharide-based hybrids are extensively discussed.
